Discover Addu Atoll, the heart-shaped gem of the Maldives, nestled at the southernmost tip of the archipelago. Unlike the atolls that stretch to the north, Addu does not offer the idyllic white sand beaches the Maldives is famous for but this captivating atoll boasts so much more.
Lying just a few degrees south of the equator, the islands offer many surprises. Lush green tropical forests, including mangroves and marshy taro fields. A rich ecosystem supports a diverse range of wildlife, such as seabirds, fish, crustaceans, fruit bats, and various bird species, including the symbolic white terns that only graces the skies of Addu. In the waters surrounding these islands snorkelers and scuba divers can enjoy vibrant coral reefs, encounter manta rays and sharks and discover the biggest shipwreck in Maldives, the British Loyalty Wreck.

Day 1 Arrival in Malé & Fly to Gan, Addu Atoll
Welcome to the Southern Maldives! Arrive at Velana International Airport, Malé. Meet your Tour Leader and transfer to the domestic departure area. Take a domestic flight to Gan International Airport in Addu Atoll. Enjoy the unique experience of crossing the Equator during your journey south. Check in to your accommodation and relax after the flight. Spend your free time swimming in the warm Indian Ocean, relaxing by the beach or enjoying the hotel facilities. Enjoy dinner and settle in for your first night in Addu. Overnight: Addu Atoll -

Day 2 Addu Nature Park & Mangrove Adventure
Explore the Natural Wonders of Addu After breakfast, travel by vehicle towards the western end of the atoll to discover Addu Nature Park. Explore the Eydhigali Kilhi wetlands and the protected Koattey area. Join a Park Ranger for a guided nature walk. Discover the area's unique mangroves, wetlands, plants and wildlife. Look out for various bird species, including the Maldivian pond heron, eastern grey heron, little egret and white tern. Learn about the historical significance of the area. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by nature. Take a kayaking excursion through Bedhi, famous for its red mangroves and young stingrays and sharks. Enjoy snorkeling and look for turtles, lobsters, clams and colorful marine life. Return to the hotel and enjoy dinner. Join an evening discussion about marine conservation and responsible tourism. Day 3 Snorkeling Adventure & Explore Gan
Discover Addu Beneath the Surface Start the day with breakfast before heading out by boat for an exciting snorkeling experience. Receive a safety briefing and learn about responsible snorkeling. Explore vibrant coral reefs filled with tropical fish and marine life. Look out for turtles and sharks. With a little luck, spot magnificent manta rays, which can be seen in Addu throughout the year. Enjoy the unique opportunity to discover the marine ecosystem of southern Maldives. In the late afternoon: Explore Gan Island on foot with your Tour Leader. Discover important historical sites and learn about Gan's connection with the British. Visit the old cinema and monuments of remembrance. Finish the walking tour by tasting traditional Hedika, a selection of Maldivian sweet and savory snacks served with black tea at a local café. Overnight: Addu Atoll -

Day 4 Island Hopping by Bicycle
Cycling Through Addu's History, Culture & Countryside After breakfast, begin an exciting day of island exploration. Cycle towards Feydhoo. Take a public ferry across the atoll to Hulhumeedhoo. Explore the historic areas of Meedhoo and Hulhudhoo. Visit Kogannu Cemetery, one of the oldest and largest cemeteries in the Maldives. Discover ancient tombstones, historic mosques and fascinating coral grave markers. Learn about the island's centuries-old history and cultural heritage. Continue cycling through the local countryside and farmland. Visit Zuvaan Dhanduveriya, an ambitious agricultural project featuring experimental crops and farming techniques. See dragon fruit, grapes, passionfruit and other tropical crops. Complete the day at Mathikilhi Eco Garden. Enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings and learn about the area's freshwater wetlands and conservation efforts. Return to your accommodation and relax. Overnight: Addu Atoll -

Day 5 Relaxation & Departure
Farewell to Addu Atoll Enjoy a relaxed final morning at the property. Spend some free time beside the beach or swimming pool. Relax on a sun lounger and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of southern Maldives. Check out from the hotel. Transfer to Gan International Airport. Take a domestic flight back to Malé International Airport or continue to your onward destination. Expected arrival in Malé is around 4:00 PM.
